The supporters of this measure felt this was necessary due to the lack of a solution from the federal government.&lt;br /&gt;Law enforcement officials will now have the authority to detain, prosecute and eventually deport undocumented immigrants. Many people in our country view illegal immigration as an economic problem that costs Americans jobs and depresses their wages. I for one believe if you want to be here you are welcome only if you abide by our laws and not undermine or circumvent the system.
